Joseph in the Pit
Often Arthur returned to a theme as in the Joseph paintings
available on this site. According to different aspects of the narrative, the composition and mood come forth differently. Here Joseph is stripped of his cloak, jolted into a pit, framed by the enmity of his brothers. He's so vulnerable.
