Jacob Deceives Isaac
Isaac was old, his eyesight gone, when he called Esau to bring him a savory venison meal and then receive the birthright of the eldest son, as well as the blessing. Meanwhile, Rebekah conspired with Jacob:
"And Jacob went near unto Issac, his father, and he felt him and said ‘the voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.’ And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau’s hands, so he blessed him."
Genesis, Chapter 27:1-46
